Playback singer Sanjeevani Bhelande, discovered on a television talent show by filmmaker VidhuVinodChopra, who gave her a break in Kareeb in which she sang all the songs for the heroine, is set to release her album soon on Times Music.
The singer of songs like Nikamma kiya iss dilne (Kya Dil Ne Kahaa), Yaara rab roos jaane de (Socha Na Tha) and several other songs in films like Road and Nayak and music directors like Anand-Milind, A.R.Rahman, Himesh Reshammiya, Sajid-Wajid, Sandesh Shandilya and others is also a hot favourite at live concerts, wherein she presents songs from the ’50s and ’60s.

With a degree in Classical music, a Masters in Commerce and diplomas in Mass Media and filmmaking, she has had rigorous training in Hindustani Khayal gaayki from Pt Dinkar Kaikini and currently learns Thumri from Rajshri Pathak. “My sangeet sadhana is my Giridhar Gopal,” Sanjeevani says.
