Fire destroys property worth Rs 1.5 million

Kanchanpur (Saptari), April 26: Property worth Rs 1.5 million was destroyed in a fire incident at Madhawapur of Hanumannagar Kankalinimai Municipality-4 in Saptari district today morning.

A fire broke out in the house of a local, Nabin Jhain in course of operating a thrasher and went on to engulf two other adjacent houses belonging to Bhagwati Jha, according to the Area Police Office, Bhardaha.
All the goods inside the houses were reduced to ashes. However, no human causality was reported in the incident, police said. Locals in joint effort of the security personnel and fire brigade doused the fire.
