Interview with Rekha Thapa

Rekha Thapa is a Nepali actress, model and film maker. She has worked in around 200 Nepali movies. She was a top ten finalist in Miss Nepal 1999. Her debut movie was Hero directed by Chhabiraj Ojha. She also got married with director Chhabiraj Ojha. Later on she got divorced with her husband Chabi Ojha. They got divorced after 10 years of marriage. Even after their divorce, they are having good relationship with each other. They both respect each other.

Nowadays she is actively participating in politics rather than Nepali film industry. She is being involved in Rastriya Prajatantra Party. She joined the party in last year's December. She is the central committee member of the party.

There was also a rumor about her being selected as a candidate for the post of deputy mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

In an interview with ABC News Nepal, Rekha told that the people should vote the right people from different parties rather than supporting a single party because there are deserving candidate in each political party. She also told that being a Minister is not a big deal for her but work and service is more important to her rather than the post.
